A Tale of Time

0

Long time ago, there were 4 siblings who lived together. They lived happily before everything was changed. They hoped for a miracle and a light appeared in front of them. Suddenly, they heard a low spooky voice.

“I have four buttons here. A rewind button to flashback your life. A skip button to go directly to the future. A stop button to end everything directly. And a button to keep life normally. I will give you a chance to choose one of them.”

The first child chose the rewind button because he wanted to live happily again. The second child chose the skip button. He wanted to directly go to the future and left his misareble life.
The third child chose stop button because he wanted to end everything. And the last child chose play button to live normally.

The other three children laughed at the last child. “Do you really want to live this miserable life? You have lost your mind brother. Hahaha”

What happened then?

Are they happy?

The first child was very happy to live in the past. He could choose freely what happy moment he wanted to live in. But after a long time, he was getting bored. Everything was repeatation. There was no something new. There was no surprises. And he lost the chance to see his precious future.

The second child was also very happy. He was a successful man in the future but when he lived it, he felt empty. He was not as happy as he thought. He did not appreciate what he got because he did not feel any efforts to get it. Then, everything dissappeared before he realized.

The third child was never happy. He chose stop button and he lost everything. He lost his hope, he lost his memories, and he lost his life.

The last child still lived in the present facing all the problems day by day. He kept struggling, he kept praying, and he stayed patient. His tears fell down every night but he put his smile again to meet a new day. He believed his life would be changed tomorrow. Just like sun which always keeps his promise to shine again, he promised to live happily again like he did. He did not know what he would face in the future but he would get the best when he did his best. And he would be happy as long as he kept grateful to what he lived today.

“Learn from your past and live your present gratefully while waiting for your precious and unpredictable future. Indeed, Allah always has many beautiful plans for the patiences :)”
