A Blown Leaf

0

I saw a leaf on the empty street
Struggling with the wind
Trying to blow it away
It flipped upside down
And flew away to the east.

I saw the leaf on the bank of the river
A little bit wet for the water splash
The wind tried to blow it once again
But the leaf sat still for the sand stack on its body
I smiled happily
The wind lost and went away sadly
A group of children ran to the river
One of them stopped and slowly stepped on the leaf
Under the boy’s slipper
The leaf was torn into two
The wind came again with her teary eyes
Looking at the poor broken leaf
The broken leaf smiled weakly
Using all of the power he had
“Everything is alright”
He whispered.
